Construction of 46 individual offshore rip rap reef structures (150’ x 28’ each) in the Pamlico Sound consisting of placing over 12,400 TN of NCDOT class A rip rap & 23,800 TN of NCDOT class 1 rip rap. Each structure is trapezoidal in shape with a 1’ layer of NCDOT class A rip rap & 4’ to 5’ of NCDOT class 1 rip rap and placed in water depths ranging from EL –12’ to –14’ NAVD88. Work also included installation of eight (8) navigation markers.
