Construction of three (3) ocean groins with lengths of 300’, 300’, and 400’. Groin construction consisted of 14,200 SF of 1’ thick marine rock mattresses with Tensar geotextile for scour protection, 1,000 LF of composite fiberglass sheet pile, 5,000 tons of armor stone, and 1,000 LF of reinforced concrete protective cap with FRP Rebar. Work was required to be coordinated with the beach nourishment contractor and performed at low tide cycles.
